LHINOS Research Brief
LHINOS Cyber Resilience Lab — Research Review Brief
The LHINOS Cyber Resilience Lab studies how human judgement, evidence and authority should interact with AI-assisted cyber decision-making.
System boundary
AEGIS is a research/engineering testbed. LHINOS Cyber Commander is a decision/orchestration-layer concept above existing security systems, not a replacement for SIEM, EDR, XDR, identity or cloud-security tooling.
Core research hypotheses
- Facts ≠ inferences; unknown remains unknown.
- Capability does not imply authority.
- Human Authority by Design should constrain consequential actions.
- Real-world effects require receipts/evidence.
- Scale intelligence without automatically scaling authority.
Research cycle
Detect → Understand → Prioritize → Decide → Act → Learn
Review domains
- Human + AI cyber decision-making
- Agentic AI security and policy enforcement
- Multi-agent cyber defence
- Identity and privileged access decision intelligence
- Usable security and human factors
- AI privacy and confidentiality
- Adversarial robustness and verifiable decisions
- Cyber risk, resilience and incident learning
Initial collaboration mode
Written, asynchronous scientific challenge first. Agent-assisted pre-structuring may support the workflow, but evaluation and consequential decisions remain human responsibilities.
External research brief. Internal governance, reviewer sourcing, outreach instructions, private data and proprietary execution controls are intentionally excluded.
